Jonah Stead is a prolific songwriter and performer from the small tickle of Birchy Bay in Central Newfoundland. When he is not writing or performing music, he works as an IT technician supporting government offices.

Jonah has been writing and performing since the age of 12, steadily refining his craft in songwriting, live performance and music production. With years of experience behind him, he is preparing to release his debut single in 2026 and establish himself as a staple in the downtown music scene.

His live sets feature a wide range of covers spanning The Tragically Hip catalogue, Hey Rosetta!, and country-folk favourites such as Tyler Childers and John Prine. Known for his low, raspy vocal tone and high-energy, catchy melodies, Jonah delivers engaging performances that keep audiences entertained from start to finish.
