Darrell Cooper is well known in St. John’s Newfoundland as one of the best blues players ever to come out of this province. His ability to capture an audience with his passionate guitar playing has wowed crowds throughout Newfoundland and internationally.

Darrell started playing blues professionally at the age of 18. By the age of 20 he was band leader for Dutch Mason and Cheryl Lescome, and began touring nationally and internationally. In 2003 his debut album was awarded the East Coast Music Blues Artist Award.

Darrell makes a regular appearance at the Newfoundland Embassy Pub and Eatery on Wednesday nights where he does acoustic blues and is frequently joined by some of St. John’s most recognized blues musicians.
